Quality Control Manager - Federal Construction (Ellsworth AFB, SD)
Full-Time | Rotational Travel Schedule | On-Site
A leading federal contractor is seeking a Quality Control Manager to support major construction efforts at Ellsworth Air Force Base. This role oversees quality compliance and execution for large-scale, mission-critical federal projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all quality control activities for major federal construction projects on-site.
- Implement and manage the project-specific QC plan in accordance with USACE and federal requirements.
- Perform inspections, testing coordination, and documentation throughout all phases of construction.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
- Coordinate daily with government representatives, subcontractors, and project leadership.
- Manage submittals, RFIs, preparatory meetings, and QC reporting.
- Monitor and verify workmanship, materials, and installation quality.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing quality control for large-scale federal construction projects valued at 50M or greater.
- Strong background working on DoD or federally funded construction efforts.
- Thorough understanding of USACE quality standards, including the Three-Phase Control System.
- Experience with federal contract documentation, compliance, and QC reporting.
- Strong communication and field coordination skills.
- Ability to work on-site at Ellsworth AFB on a rotational schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- USACE CQC certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Experience supporting design-build projects.
- Background on multi-year IDIQ or MATOC programs.
- Active clearance or ability to obtain one.
