Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist specializing in general ultrasound imaging to perform diagnostic procedures in a dynamic inpatient setting. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work either five 8-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts, with occasional on-call and holiday assignments. Flexibility is essential, as floating between inpatient and outpatient departments may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately perform ultrasound procedures by following and verifying referring providers orders.
- Use independent judgment and apply established methodologies and protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures to ensure understanding and comfort.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and compile comprehensive patient information for timely interpretation.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork to promote quality patient outcomes.
- Perform prescribed invasive or interventional procedures if applicable, adhering to established policies.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid certification and licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging techniques.
- Strong patient communication and education skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams.
- Flexibility to work varying shift lengths and occasionally handle on-call and holiday duties.
- Experience with both inpatient and outpatient settings is preferred.
