Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A position is open for a Licensed Sign Language Interpreter to provide support within a school environment. This contract role is based in Derry, NH, and requires a minimum EIPA score of 3.5 to ensure effective communication and support for students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between hearing-impaired students and their peers, teachers, and staff.
- Interpret educational content in real-time to support students' academic success.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards in sign language interpreting.
- Assist in various school-related activities requiring sign language interpretation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter.
- Minimum EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5.
- Prior experience working in educational or school settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of educational terminology and concepts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a school team.

Compensation:
- Pay range between $32.21 and $46.35 per hour, commensurate with experience and location.
