We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager of Food and Nutrition Services to lead all aspects of food operations for our 609-bed hospital, including patient meals, retail dining, and catering services. This role is ideal for a strategic leader passionate about innovation, team development, process improvement, and delivering an exceptional patient and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of food and nutrition services, including patient meals, retail dining, and catering.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery that meets and exceeds company and client expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships, including communication with senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Create strategic plans to drive operational efficiency, team engagement, and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to achieve organizational goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop management teams and staff to support operational excellence and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of five years of management and functional experience in food and nutrition services.
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Experience managing unionized staff is preferred.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and meet performance targets.
- Exceptional client relationship skills and professional communication abilities.
- Proficient in computer systems and report management.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, demonstrate flexibility, and deliver outstanding customer service.
