A prominent education provider near Peyton, CO seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve as a full-time Elementary CSD Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Teaching Certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
- Experience working with elementary students in inclusion or CSD settings
- Familiarity with needs of students with intellectual/developmental disabilities and neurodiversity
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and a commitment to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Positive attitude and passion for nurturing student confidence and independence
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of elementary students
- Manage IEP goals, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support academic and social success
- Foster an inclusive, accepting classroom environment
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to residential and community program initiatives as appropriate
This role is full-time, 35 hours per week with a typical schedule of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Interviews are conducted via Zoom or in person, with decisions and offers made promptly to assure a smooth transition.
