An international company specializing in the supply chain management and quality services for commercial aircraft and business jet programs is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Buyer / Logistics Assistant to work at their Torrance office.

- Japanese Bilingual language ability is a must

Requirements of the Japanese Bilingual Buyer / Logistics Assistant:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual language ability in English and Japanese is a must
- Previous Buyer/Purchasing-related experience is a big plus but not required
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong multitasking and time management skill
- Proficient in MS Office Suites (Word/Excel/PPT)
- Some domestic and international travel may be required
Responsibilities of the Japanese Bilingual Buyer / Logistics Assistant:
- Purchasing

- Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records (ie: price histories and issues occurred with suppliers)
- Coordinates all activities related to the procurement of raw materials and customized parts at the request of Japan HQ from intent to purchase through delivery
- Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the parts and hardware balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs
- Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations; prepares and issues purchase orders to suppliers
- Logistics

- Assures that the purchased acknowledgements are delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the Company.
- Collects and provides the details for the lead time information of logistics as well as the inventory adjustment
- Provides troubleshooting in case of missing Certificate of Conformance, components, packing slips, and etc.
- Material Control and Liaison

- Manages a location list for furnish materials and parts
- Maintains and manages inventories once a month
- Other related duties may also be assigned
Employment Type: Direct-Hire
Location: Torrance, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break = 7.5-hour workday, 37.5-hour workweek)
