CNC Programmer / Machinist (Mill-Turn)

Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently maintain operations by machining high-precision parts to print. This role requires hands-on CNC machining experience along with the ability to create and run CNC programs using CAD/CAM. On-the-job training will be provided for candidates who already have a strong machining foundation and are looking to expand into programming.
Schedule
6:00 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime on Fridays as needed.
Primary Duties
· Create standard and complex drawings including dimensions, tolerancing (GD&T), and detailed views from engineering data
· Assist in preparing bills of material, engineering change orders, and related documentation
· Create and maintain CAD/CAM models, toolpaths, and CNC programs
· Program and support multitasking mill-turn and CNC machining centers
· Perform complex setups, prove-outs, and first-piece run-offs to validate programs
· Machine close-tolerance precision parts and make real-time adjustments as needed
· Troubleshoot machining and programming issues on the floor
· Maintain high awareness of safety procedures
· Maintain a clean, organized work area
Essential Qualifications
· Proven experience in CNC setup AND operation (not operator-only)
· Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM programming (Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar)
· Experience with Fanuc and/or Yasnac controls
· Ability to perform first-time program run-throughs independently and document setups for repeatability
· Strong blueprint reading skills, including tolerances and GD&T
· Experience machining tight-tolerance precision parts
· Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
· Ability to work with limited supervision and troubleshoot issues independently
· Effective communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to work overtime on Fridays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with mill-turn or multitasking machines
· Experience with Makino, Haas, Nakamura-Tome, SMEC, or similar equipment
· SolidWorks experience
· Experience supporting quoting or estimating
· Own basic machinist tools
· Relevant technical education or certification

This is a hands-on CNC Machinist + Programmer role.
Candidates must be comfortable with setups, machining, AND creating/editing CNC programs.
This is not an entry-level or operator-only position.
