2nd Shift Warehouse Manager – Flavors & Fragrances Manufacturing
Position Summary
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations during second shift, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods. This role leads warehouse personnel, maintains inventory accuracy, supports production and compounding operations, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards within a flavors and fragrances manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all second-shift warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material replenishment, shipping, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to production and compounding departments to support manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Manage labor allocation, productivity, and workflow to meet operational goals and shipping deadlines.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, production teams, and customer service departments.
- Enforce warehouse safety programs, OSHA requirements, GMP standards, and company policies.
- Train, coach, and develop warehouse associates, forklift operators, and material handlers.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory tracking tools to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.
- Prepare and review shift reports, productivity metrics, inventory reports, and operational KPIs.
- Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of warehouse leadership experience in manufacturing, food, chemical, flavor, or fragrance environments.
- Experience with inventory management, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse reporting systems.
Preferred Experience
- Flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, chemical manufacturing, or related process manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, OSHA, and inventory control best practices.
- Experience supporting production compounding and raw material replenishment operations.
Schedule: Second Shift (typically 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM or similar) with flexibility for overtime and operational needs
