Location: Neptune City, NJ
Duration: 43 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support providers in a pediatric outpatient setting. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care, supporting medical staff during procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms with required instruments and supplies
  • Room patients and assist in preparing them for provider evaluations
  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs in electronic medical records
  • Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
  • Administer immunizations in accordance with clinical guidelines
  • Perform diagnostic testing such as EKG, PFT, audiometry, and vision screening (upon competency validation)
  • Conduct lab-related procedures including phlebotomy, UDS, and other testing (after training)
  • Complete medication reconciliation and support clinical documentation workflows
  • Obtain patient histories and perform intake screening (in-person and via phone)
  • Coordinate scheduling for appointments, procedures, and follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper EMR documentation
  • Monitor clinical supplies and maintain equipment readiness
  • Support front-office functions, including administrative and billing tasks as needed
  • Provide patient and family education on health maintenance and preventive care
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Deliver age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
  • Strong clinical skills including patient rooming and vital signs
  • Prior experience in an outpatient or primary care setting preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Certifications

  • BLS (AHA required)
  • One of the following certifications required:
    • CMA (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMCA, NCMA)
    • RMA (AMT, NAHP)
