IATF Quality Engineer | Delta Township, MI
Salary Range: $83,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and customer specific requirements (CSRs).
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
- Drive problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) for internal and external non-conformances.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in supplier audits to verify quality system effectiveness and compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Process Control Plans, PFMEAs, and other quality documentation.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA) to monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Recommended Qualifications
- Deep understanding and practical application of IATF 16949 standards.
- Proficiency in core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Proven experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Strong analytical skills for quality data interpretation and statistical process control.
- Experience conducting internal and external quality audits, including supplier quality management.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
- VDA 6.3 Process Auditor certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab)
- Experience with specific OEM customer quality systems (e.g., Ford Q1, GM BIQS, VW Formel Q)
