This opportunity offers the chance to serve a diverse patient population across acute care and long-term care settings. The facility includes 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds, providing a rich clinical environment to apply and expand your pharmacy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Collaborate actively with physicians and nurses to provide expert pharmaceutical consultations
- Utilize pharmacokinetic principles in patient care decisions and medication management
- Gain proficiency with Altera Sunrise IT system with training provided
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license required
- Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to variable schedule consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week, covering days and afternoons
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

This contract role has an immediate start and spans approximately 13 weeks, ideal for pharmacists seeking short-term but impactful work. Training on the Altera Sunrise system, a unique pharmacy IT platform, will be provided, enhancing your technical toolkit.
