Title: Quality Manager (Plastics/Film manufacturing)
Location: Richmond, IN (relocation can be provided for the right candidate!)
Position Overview
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality assurance and quality control processes within the organization. This role aims to maintain the highest standards of product quality and compliance with industry regulations, particularly in the plastics and film sectors. The Quality Manager will lead the quality team, implement quality management systems (QMS), and ensure adherence to Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance and quality control teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of processes, products, and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure that all products meet company and regulatory quality standards, particularly for plastics and film products.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and prepare reports for upper management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in quality management
- Plus if quality experience in the plastics or film industry.
- Experience in deploying quality management systems (QMS) a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
