Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare professional specializing in invasive radiologic procedures, working directly under the guidance of a Radiologist to support the diagnosis of complex medical conditions. This contract role is based in Waterford, MI, providing an opportunity to enhance skills in interventional radiology within a dynamic clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients by explaining procedures and gathering relevant medical history.
- Administer prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions following strict protocols.
- Set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, and imaging devices to assist Radiologists during diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure availability and proper storage of necessary supplies such as needles and catheters.
- Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure and manually control equipment for optimal imaging results.
- Maintain high-quality image standards through PACS and RIS system management, including image indexing and resolving exceptions.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to training new personnel or students.
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
- Document all procedures accurately within medical records and radiology information systems.
- Uphold professional standards by demonstrating clear communication, teamwork, and respect for diversity.

- Proven experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and managing radiology information systems.
- Strong understanding of patient care, sterile techniques, and safety procedures.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
