Job Title: AMG Medical Assistant
Duration: 13 Weeks contract with the possible extension
3 Work Locations available: FARMINGTON HILLS, MI & NOVI, MI & ST CLAIR SHORES, MI
Shift: Mon-Fri (9am – 5pm)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant for a 13-week assignment at a busy clinic. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring smooth daily operations of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Provide patient education and support as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of Medical Assistant training program preferred
- Current certification (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
