Job Summary
We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team! As a Radiology Technician, you will be:

  • Obtaining patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
  • preparing patients for their procedures by adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and changing controls and exposure to capture the required results while respecting patient ability and comfort.
  • Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
  • Performs radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures.
  • Verifies informed consent and completes pre and post procedure documentation.
  • Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures. Applies appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed.
  • Receives relays and documents verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient's medical record.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality.
  • Documents patient dose exposures.
  • Professionally interacts with physicians, technologist, physician offices, hospital staff, patient family members and patients.
  • Operates radiographic equipment and accessories in accordance with the principles of ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable).
  • The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior experience working in a medical setting, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Thoroughly document all patient services within a patients chart
  • Follow all required safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to maintain a safe work environment

Qualification

  • 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with medical charting desired
  • Strong attention to detail
