Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification/license (State of MI or ability to obtain)
- Experience in elementary special education (3rd–5th grade preferred)
- Strong background in language arts and mathematics instruction
- Case management experience and familiarity developing IEPs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability in new classroom environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in language arts and math to students in 3rd–5th grade
- Deliver individualized and small group interventions for a caseload of 19 students
- Develop and implement IEPs; track progress and communicate with families
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Create an inclusive, engaging learning environment
- Document services and maintain compliance
