Position Summary:
Fusion is seeking a Mid-Level Training and Exercises Specialist with an active TS security clearance to support course delivery, workforce development, and exercise execution for a cleared operational program. This role assists with instructional materials, scheduling, logistics, participant coordination, and the preparation of training and exercise products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with development, revision, production, and maintenance of course materials, student guides, instructor guides, presentations, and administrative documents.
- Coordinate course schedules, instructor assignments, class rosters, and access requests for training events and site visits.
- Support workforce training itineraries, participant escort requirements, concept reinforcement, and administrative tracking during qualification periods.
- Assist with preparation of exercise plans, timelines, participant manifests, briefing materials, injects, and evaluation support documents.
- Support tabletop exercise development and monthly delivery of exercise materials, notes, and administrative products.
- Help capture training feedback, lessons learned, and improvement recommendations for senior review.
- May perform additional mission-aligned duties as required to support program objectives.
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelors degree preferred in education, emergency management, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in training coordination, instructional support, facilitation, or exercise support.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for schedule management, participant coordination, and document control.
- Experience supporting senior leaders or mission-focused programs in secure environments preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, presentation development, and administrative task tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with classroom support, roster management, or training logistics.
- Exposure to emergency preparedness, continuity, or readiness programs.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Candidates must have an active TS to be considered.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain SCI access and SAP eligibility/indoctrination as required for assigned duties.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed onsite in secure government facilities in the National Capital Region.
- Work schedules may include coverage between 0500 and 2000 Monday through Friday, with evening, weekend, and holiday support as mission requirements dictate.
- Short notice travel within and outside the continental United States may be required based on operational needs.
- Employees must comply with installation access, badging, operational security, and classified material handling requirements at all times.
- May require escorting trainees, managing access coordination, and supporting multiple events in parallel.
- This position supports a high-visibility federal mission and is expected to remain fully compliant with customer security, access, and performance requirements.
- Applicants should be prepared to provide evidence of active clearance status and relevant experience supporting government or defense organizations.
