Job Title: Commercial Plumbing Technician

Job Summary:
Plumber technicians are responsible for providing commercial plumbing services and must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade to effectively meet the needs of our customers, including private schools, churches, and other nonprofits. Our service technicians interact directly with customers to diagnose plumbing issues, procure necessary materials, implement solutions, and complete required paperwork.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain plumbing and mechanical systems, handling tasks such as commercial toilet/sink fixture installations, maintaining mechanical equipment, and diagnosing water heater issues.
- Each technician will diagnose the problem, get approval for the solution from the customer, purchase all materials themself, complete the repair/installation, and then finish all required paperwork on their mobile phone or tablet.
- Experience with drain cleaning techniques for sinks, toilets, and larger waste lines.
- Undertake various maintenance duties, including basic electrical work, irrigation repairs, and other tasks as requested by our school and church clients.
- Ensure completion of service and inspection reports, work orders, timesheets, and other required documents in a professional manner.
- Occasionally, the work will include moving furniture, setting up, and tearing down public events, and assisting with exterior building needs.
- Drive company vehicles to service our clients (Vehicles are monitored with 24/7 GPS devices)
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position: 40 hours per week with limited overtime.
- Regular hours are typically from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility
- based on customer needs.
- Occasionally, there may be a requirement for emergency calls.
Compensation:
$35 - $37 per hour
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing trades.
- Willingness to pursue ongoing professional training, including backflow and irrigation training, and obtain relevant plumbing certifications.
- Must provide own hand tools related to the trade (specialty tools will be provided by the company).
- Willingness to adhere to company and customer dress codes.
- Permission to download company-related apps on the phone (such as Paylocity and SFM.connect/timesheet application).
- Possession of a valid driver's license and insurability to drive a company vehicle.
- Availability to work evenings or weekends on occasion, with minimal overtime.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check required for working in educational facilities with children present.t

- Demonstrate basic computer skills for research, communication, and recordkeeping.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves approximately 25% outdoor and 75% indoor work, often requiring extended periods of standing.
- Candidates should be comfortable working on lifts, scaffolding, and ladders, as well as in crawl spaces.
- The ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance is essential for this role.
- Vaccination compliance (Hep B) may be required for this position.
- Candidates must be able to work in smoke-free environments.
- The job entails climbing, bending, reaching, standing, walking, and working in noisy environments.
