Our office is fast-paced and growing, with a new location opening in 3 months. Our ideal candidate has 3 years of dental experience or at least 1 year of pediatric-specific experience. Compensation:
$35 - $39 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums, after procedures
- Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
- Measure and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed
- Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during an appointment
- Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
- Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials
- Manage the daily flow of a fast-paced schedule
Qualifications:
- Up-to-date BLS/CPR certification is required
- Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary
- Previous dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant (3 years) is necessary
- Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
- Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
