Inventory Specialist-Receiving Clerk

Summary of Position:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable team player to join our operations team. The Inventory Specialist – Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. Additional responsibilities include cleaning, preparing, and building product displays, tagging and organizing pre-owned furniture for the showroom, maintaining accurate inventory through system updates, uploading product photos to the website, and performing regular physical inventory counts.
Responsibilities:
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, assembled, or delivered.
- Take multiple pictures of product from varies angles and create descriptions of furniture on Website.
- Work with multiple departments to multitask projects.
- Research our product tags.
- Loading, unloading, and wrapping furniture on delivery trucks.
- Tag and label products and make sure all materials have identifying information.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Assembles customer orders from stock or conveys orders to production station or shipping bays.
- Helps sales team with Will Call tickets – pick-ups, product availability.
- Works with other team members to organize and maintain used showroom floor.
- Prep and assemble used products to be displayed on showroom floor while ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Records number of materials or items received or distributed.
- Uses computer to enter records.
- Maintains inventory records, adjustments, and descriptions.
- Follow all Safety and OSHA requirements.
Knowledge/ Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written.
- Ability to achieve department goals and follow instructions.
- Ability to work with multiple departments.
- Tech Savvy and able to operate a mobile device such as tablet, phone, and computer.
- Willing to learn and work in a website and follow previous layout.
- Demonstrates a customer focus.
- Ability to safely move up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance.
- Ability to maintain heavy physical activity during shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, and walk frequently.
- Ability to work in indoor/outdoor climate.
- Basic Computer Knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 to 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
