Electrical Estimator

Job DescriptionSalary: $80,000-$130,000 per year
POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Estimator reports to the Team Leader andis responsible forpreparingaccuratecost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role evaluates labor, materials,subcontractor, and equipment costs for commercial and industrial projects, including lowvoltage and fire alarm systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepareaccuratecost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and buyouts for electrical construction projects
- Review plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to define scope and estimate requirements
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates
- Analyze cost risks such aslogistics, schedule impacts, weather, and waste disposal
- Participate in job walks, bid presentations, and preparation of client qualification submittals
- Maintain vendor, subcontractor, and supplier relationships to support competitive pricing
- Collaborate with management by providing estimates for planning, scheduling, and decisionmaking
- Ensureaccuratedata entry, documentation, andtimelysubmission of bids
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 5+yearsestimating electricalcommercialconstruction projectsrequired
- Programs experience preferred:
- Procore
- TrimbleAccubid
- Bluebeam
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well asinteam environment
- Ability to present in a professional manner and represent the company image
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Office work requires sitting for periods of time and use of a computer keyboard and screen. This rolestands,walks and may move boxes of files and records weighing 30 pounds or less.
