Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing onsite occupational therapy services during Extended School Year (ESY) coverage in the Forest Lake area. In this flexible role, you'll support a caseload spanning from infants through age 3, partnering closely with families and fellow team members to deliver high-quality care and guidance throughout the summer. The work also involves supporting students aged 3-22 through indirect OT services, allowing for independent management of your check-ins and documentation.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Occupational Therapy license (must be included with resume for consideration)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric development and sensory-motor needs
- Comfortable making home or daycare visits for the Birth-3 caseload
- Adaptability in managing a non-routine, variable weekly schedule
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation for local home/daycare visits
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly home and daycare visits for infants and toddlers as part of a collaborative early intervention team
- Provide indirect OT services for older students, coordinating check-ins and support based on caseload needs
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other service professionals
- Accurately maintain documentation, track progress, and update goals as needed
- Flexibly adjust visit times and hours per week depending on the evolving needs of families and students
You'll find the schedule generally consists of 3-5 hours per week for each caseload, but some weeks may vary—sometimes requiring up to 8 hours or as few as 2, depending on referrals and family schedules.
