This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Adult Education Program Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of adult education programs. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized individual who enjoys working in a dynamic educational environment and supporting both staff and students.
Flexible Schedule: 20 hours, 1 day in the office + remote work days.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling and Coordination
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, events, and program activities.
  • Review and maintain administrative calendars to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reserve rooms and ensure appropriate setup for instructional and administrative activities.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including materials, technology, and refreshments as needed.


  • Administrative Support
  • Take detailed meeting notes and distribute summaries promptly.
  • Send out action items and follow up on completion status.
  • Organize files, supplies, and program documentation to support efficient operations.


  • Project & Event Management
  • Support project coordination by tracking timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Assist with event planning, including scheduling, vendor coordination, and on-site support.


  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with staff, instructors, and students.
  • Provide general assistance to students and instructors during program activities.
  • Support program staff with special projects and initiatives as needed.


  • Professional Standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or experience in education or administration preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic data entry systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in education and/or non-profit settings
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and backgrounds
