Job Details:

• Work in ICU unit with floating required to PCU
\n• Must be able to handle higher patient ratios
\n• Patient ratios: 3:1 days/nights, 3.5:1 weekends
\n• Multiple shift options available: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
\n• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week (8/10 hour shifts), 36 hours per week (3 x 12 hour shifts), 48 hours per week (4 x 12 hour shifts)
\n• 3 years of experience required (may consider less depending on experience)
\n• Travel experience required
\n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• Must wear red tops and black bottoms
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• Free parking available
\n• Treat adult patients with diagnoses including ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKI's, UTI's, and Acute Shock
\n• Extensive skill requirements including arterial line management, ventilator care, cardiac drip titration, central line management, and emergency medications
\n• Must be comfortable with post-cardiac surgery patients, procedural sedation, and critical care procedures
\n• 12-bed unit with daily census of 7 patients
\n• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

This short-term acute care hospital is a modern healthcare facility with multiple bed configurations ranging from 153 to 210 staffed beds. The facility features a well-equipped ICU with specialized equipment including ventilators, Arctic Sun cooling systems, and balloon pumps. The hospital provides comprehensive critical care services with strong interdisciplinary support teams and access to specialized procedures including cardiac catheterization, cardioversion, and stress testing.
