Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative plays a key role in driving growth within the commercial roofing industry by managing existing client relationships and identifying new sales opportunities. This position requires a self-motivated and results-driven professional with a proven track record in sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a client-focused environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update lead pipelines with current client and bid information to ensure accurate records and support strategic follow-up.
  • Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through phone, email, and in-person interactions to drive engagement and retention.
  • Promote and follow up on tailored proposals and bids to secure new projects and enhance long-term partnerships.
  • Leverage sales analytics to inform and refine outreach strategies, targeting high-potential opportunities.
  • Conduct ongoing research into market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with internal departments and external stakeholders to prepare compelling, customized proposals and bid packages.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach
  • Strong collaboration abilities and interpersonal effectiveness across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)


Preferred:

  • Experience using CRM platforms
  • Background in commercial roofing, construction, or related industries
