We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to manufacture quality products using CNC machining centers. This role involves changing materials and tools as needed, inspecting products with precision measuring tools, and ensuring efficiency and quality using setup documents and customer drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture quality products using CNC machining centers.
  • Change materials and tools as needed.
  • Inspect products using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
  • Fill out paperwork for tracking product cost and movement.
  • Use shop orders, setup documents, and customer drawings to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate with team members to resolve machining issues.
  • Set up first parts for inspection and production.
  • Maintain SPC (Statistical Process Control) documentation.
  • Make machine/process adjustments to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Replace cutting tools as needed.
  • Use additional tools like grinders, drill presses, saws, and burr tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Stop production when quality or safety issues arise.
  • Accurately clock in/out using the company’s MRP system.
  • Follow safety procedures and handle flammable materials properly.


Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience.
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine, mill, and lathe operations.
  • Proficiency with Fanuc and Fanuc control systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

Work in a family-owned precision machine shop where you will operate 3-4 axis milling machines. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and committed to high-quality production standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
