The VIVE Payroll/HRIS Specialist is responsible for the accurate processing of payroll and the effective management of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This hybrid role bridges payroll administration and HR technology, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and efficient HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Payroll: Accurately process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain HRIS Data: Enter, update, and maintain employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular and ad hoc reports from the HRIS for HR, Finance, and management; analyze payroll data for trends, errors, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Compliance: Ensure payroll practices adhere to tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and organizational policies.
  • System Support: Assist in the implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of HRIS modules and workflows.
  • Audit & Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and support internal and external audits.
  • Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, timekeeping, and HRIS issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to support audits, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Training: Train HR staff and end-users on HRIS and payroll system functionality.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to payroll and HRIS processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience (3-5 years) in payroll processing and HRIS management; industry-specific experience may be preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with ADP payroll and HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of payroll compliance, tax laws, and wage and hour regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational abilities.
