Responsibilities:
The Mammography Technologist's primary role is caring for our patients by performing screening and diagnostic breast imaging, and may also assist in interventional breast procedures. You will be responsible for calibrating and operating diagnostic equipment and work directly with the on-site Physicians. As part of our team, you will work within the safety standards and regulatory requirements, and also participate in quality control (QC) and continuing medical education (CME).
Education & Licensure Requirements:
- Completion of a formal training program for Radiology and Mammography Technology
- Current California licensure for Mammography (CRT-M)
- Current ARRT "R"
- Solid understanding of ACR and MQSA regulations
- BLS certification
- Current CPR certification
Work Experience:
- Minimum six months of experience in performing mammography as directed by radiologists is desired
- Mammography and X-ray experience with proven competence in an outpatient Radiology clinical setting preferred
- General knowledge of information technology (PACS / RIS).
