About the Role

Central MEP Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Master Electrician for a commercial project in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with strong leadership abilities and extensive experience overseeing commercial electrical installations in a union environment.

You will ensure all electrical work is performed safely, meets code requirements, and aligns with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform commercial electrical installations

  • Supervise electricians and apprentices as needed

  • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

  • Install and maintain panels, switchgear, lighting, and power distribution systems

  • Run and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with NEC codes, local regulations, and union standards

  • Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance

  • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of commercial electrical experience

  • Valid Master Electrician license (as required by Washington, DC)

  • Experience working in a union construction environment

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial wiring methods

  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Reliable transportation to Washington, DC
