About the Role

Central MEP Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Master Electrician for a commercial project in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with strong leadership abilities and extensive experience overseeing commercial electrical installations in a union environment.

You will ensure all electrical work is performed safely, meets code requirements, and aligns with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and perform commercial electrical installations
Supervise electricians and apprentices as needed
Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Install and maintain panels, switchgear, lighting, and power distribution systems
Run and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, etc.)
Ensure compliance with NEC codes, local regulations, and union standards
Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance
Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades

Qualifications

5–8 years of commercial electrical experience
Valid Master Electrician license (as required by Washington, DC)
Experience working in a union construction environment
Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial wiring methods
Proven leadership and supervisory experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Reliable transportation to Washington, DC
