Compliance Manager

Position Summary

The Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the companys compliance framework within a highly regulated semiconductor environment. This role ensures adherence to global regulatory requirements, export controls, trade compliance laws, environmental regulations, data privacy laws, and industry standards relevant to semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and global supply chains.

The Compliance Manager will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, HR, IT, and Executive Leadership to promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Compliance Program

  • Design and maintain the companys compliance program and policies.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments across global operations.
  • Develop internal controls and compliance monitoring mechanisms.
  • Lead internal investigations related to potential compliance violations.
  • Report compliance risks and updates to executive leadership and the Board.

Environmental & Manufacturing Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, REACH, RoHS).
  • Oversee compliance related to hazardous materials used in semiconductor fabrication.
  • Coordinate with EHS teams to ensure manufacturing site compliance.

Data Privacy & Information Security

  • Ensure compliance with global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Partner with IT and Security to ensure protection of IP and sensitive R&D data.

Training & Culture

  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
  • Promote ethical business conduct and whistleblower protections.
  • Manage code of conduct enforcement and annual certifications.

Audits & Reporting

  • Coordinate internal and external compliance audits.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and disclosures.
  • Maintain documentation for regulatory inspections and certifications.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Law, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • JD, MBA, or compliance certification (CCEP, CRCM) preferred.

Experience

  • 712+ years of compliance experience, preferably in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or technology industries.
  • Experience supporting global operations and supply chains.
