About the Company:
Our client, a trusted and growing roofing contractor based in Buda, TX, specializes in standing seam and composition residential re-roofing and select commercial single-ply roofing projects.
This is a full-time, salaried leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, offering career growth, stability, and long-term financial opportunity.
About the Role:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production - from materials procurement to job scheduling and quality assurance. You'll work closely with field superintendents, vendors, sub-contractors, and sales staff to ensure smooth operations, on-time project delivery, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
You'll be the key connector between the field, office, and executive teams, ensuring production efficiency and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Familiar with Roofing Materials

Roofing Labor
-
Managing over $ 10M in Sales ($ 30M+ company)
Vendor & Material Management:
-
Maintain and manage relationships with major distributors (ABC Supply, SRS, etc.)

Secure competitive pricing and manage all material orders, roof loads, and delivery schedules
-
Oversee vendor lists and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Field & Shop Operations:
-
Collaborate with field superintendents to optimize production timelines and output

Lead weekly production meetings to align schedules and performance goals
-
Work daily with the Sheet Metal Shop Foreman to manage inventory, improve efficiencies, and explore new revenue opportunities

Maintain monthly inventory reports and ensure optimal use of materials and equipment
Sub-Contractor Relations:

Recruit, qualify, and maintain a network of quality subcontractors

Ensure compliance with company contracts, insurance, and documentation
-
Manage warranty requests and hold subcontractors accountable for workmanship standards

Oversee scheduling via an online production calendar
Sales & Office Coordination:

Partner with sales consultants to ensure smooth job hand-offs and efficient project completion

Work closely with office management and A/R staff to coordinate invoicing and reporting

Drive continuous improvement in communication, scheduling, and documentation
Customer Relations:

Serve as a key point of contact for customers throughout the production cycle

Maintain exceptional communication and a focus on customer satisfaction
Qualifications & Skills:
✅ Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
✅10+ years of experience in roofing or construction production management
✅ Strong leadership and communication abilities
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks
✅ Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
✅ Proven record of integrity, teamwork, and accountability
✅ Friendly, approachable demeanor with a sense of humor
