Job Title: Telemetry Technician
Facility: Large Acute Care Hospital
Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: 8 Weeks
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week | 7.5 hrs/day

Openings: 20

Pay Rate

• Travelers: $42/hr

• Local: $32/hr

Shifts Available

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Summary

The Telemetry Technician provides continuous ECG monitoring, analyzes rhythm strips, identifies and responds to arrhythmias, initiates emergency response procedures when required, and ensures accurate documentation while supporting patient safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous EKG/ECG monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms

• Identify and promptly respond to life-threatening dysrhythmias

• Perform EKGs with accurate electrode placement and signal quality

• Communicate clearly with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members

• Enter and verify orders; retrieve and review laboratory results

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• AHA BLS (issued within the past year)

• Completion of a Dysrhythmia Course

• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office and electronic systems)
