Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, the Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team, using applicable principles of Social Work and/or Counseling, including client psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, client/family education, and treatment planning. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will support primary care and behavioral health providers in managing client behavioral health care. The Clinical Supervisor must be passionate about delivering excellent client care, exercise good judgment and initiative, work independently, and demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. This position offers the opportunity to exercise sound judgment and initiative, work independently, and grow professionally. Professional demeanor and appearance are required.

Roles and responsibilities will include the following, but not limited to:

  • Support evaluation of program services to enhance client outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality client care.
  • Conduct assessments of each client’s psychosocial status and functioning in an effort to document history and identify preliminary items for the treatment plan.
  • Facilitate the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members.
  • Incorporate the client’s psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care.
  • Provide and/or arrange for therapeutic intervention as appropriate for clients in a crisis.
  • Provide crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment.
  • Follow-up to determine the reliability and validity of the treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modifications to services and service delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and case histories.
  • Evaluate and sign off on clinicians’ SOAP notes.
  • Consult with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework: refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required.
  • Attend staff meetings and team conferences; leads team meetings.
  • Participate in, lead, and/or coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills.
  • Maintain current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding psychosocial disorders through conferences, educational requirements for licensure, and applicable current literature.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Must be a licensed LCSW and LCPC.
  • No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).
  • Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
