A full-time Lab Pharmacist position is available in Chandler, AZ, offering the opportunity to supervise and contribute to pharmacy operations in a dynamic environment. This contract-to-hire role involves overseeing pharmacy technicians as they compound preparations, fill and label prescriptions, and prepackage bulk medications, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in compounding, filling, labeling, and prepackaging procedures
- Clarify and communicate prescription or refill authorizations, perform final prescription checks, and oversee compounding activities
- Maintain accuracy, pharmaceutical quality, and potency standards consistently
- Adhere strictly to USP guidelines, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and other relevant policies
- Support other duties as assigned by management or supervising pharmacists
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Arizona Pharmacist License in good standing is required
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy principles, regulations, and policies governing pharmacy practice
- Skilled in both non-sterile and sterile compounding, including capsules, oral liquids, injectables, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, and tablet triturates
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to pursue licensure in multiple states as needed
