Position: Sr. Financial Analyst
Location: Valley Green, PA
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position summary:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for accounting, financial planning and reporting. The position will work closely with different teams to help make financially driven decisions, identify trends, and drive business improvements.
- Financial Reporting, Planning, and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance
- Analyze historical financial data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted results
- Prepare cost projections and assist in annual budgeting processes
- Prepare margin analysis to evaluate profitability for products and product lines
- Compile and present financial reports
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial insights
- Accounting and Compliance:
- Prepare general ledger journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger activity to supporting documentation and financial reporting systems
- Perform quarterly analysis of excess and obsolete inventory
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards
- Perform internal control testing through the Hard Close process
- Process Improvement and Automation:
- Identify and lead process improvements in financial reporting and forecasting/budgeting to improve accuracy and streamline reporting efforts.
- Create automated reporting and forecasting tools using Power BI.
- Develop dashboards and ad-hoc reports for operational metrics.
- Tariffs: Track, analyze, and report on global tariff impacts on supply chain operations.
- Master Data Management: Create, update, and maintain master data records in the ERP system, including, but not limited to, customers, vendors, bills of material, and supply chain parameters. Ensure appropriate processes are in place to validate data before changes are entered into the ERP system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least three years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing practices and principles
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle), with knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus
- Experience with data analysis software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to identify, create and implement automated accounting processes, procedures, and reports
- Ability to collaborate with multi-departmental teams
- Well-developed organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills, advanced excel skills, and solid written and verbal communication skills
