Job Overview
This position involves:
- 24-hour call coverage: 7 am to 7 am, 1-2 weeks each month
- Average callbacks: 1-2 per day
- Facility: Level III trauma center
- Certification: ATLS certification is mandatory
- Procedures: Emergency general surgery and trauma procedures
- Patient care: Must round on adult patients only; stabilization and transfer of patients under 18
- Skills required: Chest tube and central line placement
