SouthCoast is looking for a Full-Time LPN for our Imaging Department
Responsible for providing professional nursing care to clinic patients under the direction/delegation of Physician under the general policies and procedures established by SouthCoast Health. Provides care as allowed within the scope of the Georgia Licensed Practical Nurses Board.
Requirements:
Current Georgia LPN licensure. Must pass proficiency test. Current BLS/CPR Certification
Qualifications:
Able to assess patients general condition, particularly the acutely ill patient and ensures that needs are met.
Able to start IV's and assist with procedures in C-arm and biopsies.
Provide patient care as needed by radiologists or management.
Maintain confidentiality in matters regarding the clinic, its patients and employees.
Responsibilities:
Monitor CT cardiac morphologies
Call in meds for patients per Imaging protocol
Check medication cabinet -Medication for cardiac studies
Administer medications by protocols
Assist with any procedures as necessary in C-arm & Mammography Biopsies
Start IVs for CT & MR
Monitor any incidents or accidents
Check and monitor scheduled procedures for C-arm and MR
Make all procedure follow-up calls for C-arm and US Biopsies
Access St. Joe & Memorial for prior studies when needed
Procedure clearance for exams (MR & C-arm)
Match concordance sheet to pathology
Pathology Process( per IMG policy & workflow)
Give concordance sheet & pathology report to radiologist
Radiologist will sign pathology report , call the patient and add an addendum report to the report
Fax signed pathology report to referring physician
Education/ Experience: LPN: Graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing program.Minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or office practice setting. Imaging experience preferred.
