Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Special Education educators are sought for full-time roles in a middle and high school setting in McMinnville, TN, for the 2025-2026 school year. These positions are offered on an NSY contract basis and are open to candidates currently out of state who have a pending Tennessee teaching license.
Openings include:
Self-Contained CDC Special Education Teacher (Grades 6-8): Requires a 461 SPED license. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 10-15 students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom environment. Scheduled hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Special Education Behavior Interventionist (Grades 6-8): Full-time role focused on supporting the behavioral needs of middle school students requiring specialized interventions.
Special Education Interventionist (Grades 9-12): Full-time role providing intervention services for high school students with special education needs.
Qualifications:
Appropriate special education licensure (461 SPED license required for CDC role)
Experience working with middle and/or high school students with disabilities
Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
Implement behavior intervention plans and monitor student progress
Maintain accurate records and municate student progress to stakeholders
