What will you build?
- Metal structures and assemblies that meet exact customer and internal specifications
- High-quality welds (flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead) produced with MIG and related processes
- Accurate, documented results captured in production and quality logs
How you’ll make it happen
- Read drawings and follow weld symbols, sequences, and assembly notes without supervision.
- Lay out parts, secure with fixtures, tack, and complete welds to spec.
- Set and fine-tune voltage, amperage, and gas flow to achieve desired arc characteristics.
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting; request repairs when needed.
- Measure and inspect using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
- Demonstrate strong attendance: be on time, follow your schedule, and remain on task.
- Embrace a quality-first mindset and wear required PPE at all times.
- Accept accountability for throughput and workmanship, always striving for excellence.

Do you match these requirements?
- 1+ years of MIG welding experience or equivalent training
- Successful completion of CIT weld test
- Experience across various welding equipment and procedures
- Comfort with shop tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Knowledge of safety standards and consistent PPE use (face shield, gloves, PPE, etc.)
- Steady hands and strong attention to detail
- AWS certification preferred
What’s the work setting like?
Manufacturing environment with loud noise, fumes/airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. You may work with chemicals; see the posted Safety Data Sheets for details. Expect moderate temperature changes during an eight-hour shift.
Physical requirements
- Ability to talk and hear throughout the shift
- Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing/balancing, and stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
- Lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently; up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Close and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
