Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled Vascular Sonographer proficient in ultrasound vascular imaging. This contract position is located in Kernersville, NC, serving both outpatient and inpatient vascular clinics that cater to patients of all ages. The role involves utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment evaluation of various vascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vascular ultrasound examinations including carotid, upper and lower arterial and venous studies, DVT/reflux analyses, vein mapping, renal and mesenteric artery studies, as well as assessments of abdominal aortic aneurysms and endografts.
  • Conduct evaluations of segmental pressures (PVR), hemodialysis grafts, and arterial bypass grafts using specialized equipment.
  • Document and report findings comprehensively using EMR systems, primarily EPIC, and VascuPro reporting software.
  • Collaborate with department leadership and peers to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in weekend rotations and observe specific holiday work requirements.
  • Float to an outpatient lab location in High Point, NC, as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) certification through CCI.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A minimum of two years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience is required.
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology including peripheral vascular disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure, cerebrovascular accidents, venous insufficiency, and transplant-related evaluations.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Work hours are generally from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekends; Thursdays are off when working a weekend shift.
  • No call responsibilities.
  • The department fosters a teamwork-oriented, traveler-friendly culture.
  • Free parking provided.
  • Orientation lasts three days with comprehensive departmental training.
  • Scrub color is black.
