Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Work as an experienced Imaging Cath Lab Technician supporting cardiac catheterization procedures in a dynamic hospital setting. This travel assignment is based in South Charleston, WV, offering opportunities to work alongside skilled cardiologists and advanced medical teams.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum one year prior Cath Lab or Radiologic Tech experience required; first-time travelers with strong experience considered
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications mandatory
- Proficient in sterile technique while scrubbing and assisting physicians during procedures
- Familiarity with Siemens imaging software and cath lab equipment
- Ability to handle on-call duties with 24/7 availability and 30-minute response time
Responsibilities:
- Assist and scrub for diagnostic left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP insertions, and temporary pacemaker procedures
- Collaborate closely with RNs and cardiologists to ensure smooth clinical operations
- Adhere to strict sterile protocols in the cath lab environment
- Complete required documentation and maintain readiness for call duties
- Participate in a structured orientation including general hospital and department-specific training
Schedule & On-Call:
- Five days per week with start/stop times based on scheduled cases
- One week of on-call every four weeks, covering nights and weekends on rotating basis
- Call responsibilities include being available Monday 7 AM to the following Monday 7 AM or Friday evening through Monday morning, responding within 30 minutes
