We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our high-energy, fast-paced company. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter who can prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, general ledger reconciliations, monthly and year-end closings and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly closing.

This position is located in Braintree, MA and is a hybrid position. You must be able to work in the Braintree office three days per week.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, Cash, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Accruals and select P&L accounts
  • Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
  • Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
  • Prepare sales tax file for monthly submission and payment
  • Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with US GAAP
  • Prepare analyses of income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
  • Oversight of intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
  • Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
  • Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
  • Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
  • Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
  • Validate approvals and GL coding of invoices are in line with company policies
  • Other projects as needed

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, with 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
  • Multi-currency translation recordkeeping
  • Importing and exporting data files from ERP Systems
  • Strong working knowledge of accrual-based accounting and US GAAP.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency including Intermediate to advanced Excel and database capabilities
  • Ability and willingness to meet critical business deadlines
  • Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
  • AX and NetSuite Experience a major plus
