Deliver specialized critical care as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. This contract opportunity in Naperville, IL, requires an experienced RN ready to provide compassionate, expert nursing care across multiple ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU. Flexibility is essential, as floating within the facility is mandatory to meet dynamic staffing needs.
Schedule & Hours:
- Full-time, 3 shifts per week
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
- Every other weekend off (2 weekends per month)
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed monthly, with specific blackout periods including holidays and weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients across various ICU specialties
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Adhere to facility protocols, using Cerner for electronic charting
- Participate in orientation and precepting during the initial week on day shift
- Float within the scope of practice to support multiple ICU areas and medical-surgical units as necessary
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in an ICU setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to work within a 75-mile radius; local candidates preferred
- Must possess an active, unrestricted nursing licensepending licenses not accepted
