Unified Group Services is hiring a Disability Claims Auditor to join our Anderson, IN office full-time! This entry-level role audits short-term disability request forms to ensure accuracy and help verify the customer's eligibility.

YOUR IMPACT AS OUR DISABILITY CLAIMS AUDITOR

In this entry-level role, you'll be responsible for processing requests, auditing claims and payments, and communicating with physicians to ensure claims are accurate. Your sharp attention to detail, ability to follow through with tasks, and time management skills will be your keys to success. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Accurately setting up and processing short-term disability request forms
  • Conducting disability audits to ensure information is accurate (eligibility data, member additions/terminations, and account changes)
  • Auditing COBRA payments and communication for accuracy
  • Informing your team lead about any discrepancies or concerns you find during audits
  • Contacting physicians for updates on ongoing files and to obtain documents
  • Confirming return-to-work dates
  • Answering customers' questions
  • Collaborating with your team to handle additional tasks as needed, including assisting with appeals


SCHEDULE

You'll have a standard 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday schedule with overtime available.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Professional and polite phone communication skills
  • Excellent attendance record and reliable work ethic
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Some college education
  • Ability to accurately interpret spreadsheets, insurance claim forms, and plan documents
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage interruptions
  • Proactive mindset and self-motivation to excel
