What you will do:

The Member Inbound Specialistwill have a passion for helping people achieve their financial goals. Primary duties include answering inbound phone inquiries regarding credit union loan products and assisting with new consumer, home equity, and mortgage applications in accordance with lending policy. TheMemberInbound Specialist adheres to regulations and organizational policies, maintaining awareness and knowledge required to perform the duties of the position, including all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations, such as OFAC, and the USA Patriot Act, Fair Lending and Information Security.

A day in your life might include:

  • Handles inbound phone calls to assist with inquiries about lending solutions for borrowing needs utilizing best in class member service.
  • Assists applicants with new loan applications tailored to meet their borrowing and financial needs.
  • Collaborates and educates applicants on customized lending solutions.
  • Reviews loan application decisions with applicants.
  • Assists with applications in process by helping applicants complete the loan process and obtain the funds requested so they can accomplish their goals.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Works in collaboration and partnership with team members from other departments to help applicants with lending solutions and to ensure optimal member service delivery.
  • Additional job-related projects and duties as assigned by management.

What we need from you:

Education Requirements

  • High School Degree Required

Experience Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in financial services, call center, or other related customer service environment.
  • NMLS registered or ability to become NMLS registered upon hire.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a sincere desire to assist our members.
  • Sales experience is helpful.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Compensation Information: Offers will be commensurate with experience and education. The full Hourly Range for this Grade is $18.56 - $27.88, however the budget range for this role is $20.00 - 22.00 per hour.
