Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking an Onboarding Specialist to join our team. The position will be located on-site in Etters, PA.
The Onboarding Specialist will serve as the primary owner of the employee onboarding experience, ensuring a smooth, consistent, and engaging process from offer acceptance through a new hire's successful integration across multiple sites as our team continues to grow. This role will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to support our HR and Talent Acquisition function. This position will assist with strategic objectives in the following functional areas: Talent Acquisition, New Hire Onboarding, Orientation, Employee Engagement, Safety, Compliance, and additional special projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience
- Facilitate and coordinate new-hire orientation sessions, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and up to date
- Manage onboarding documentation, systems entry, and compliance requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Act as the primary point of contact for new hires from offer acceptance through their first weeks, providing clear communication and guidance
- Provide day-to-day site HR support as needed
- Extensive calendar scheduling and communication via email to internal and external stakeholders, including scheduling of orientation sessions, onboarding meetings, and new-hire touchpoints
- Coordinate logistics for new hires, including equipment requests, workspace setup, technology access, and required trainings
- Maintain and track onboarding metrics, ensuring accurate data entry and identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Document and continuously improve onboarding workflows
- Ensure a high-quality, consistent, and engaging onboarding experience across all sites
- Other responsibilities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 3 years of experience with onboarding and orientation within a fast-paced HR team
- 1-3 years of experience supporting high-growth teams
- Interest in learning additional aspects of HR and recruitment with a strong desire to specialize in onboarding and new-hire experience
SKILLS:
- Ability to work under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously, while remaining organized and process oriented
- Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and find innovative solutions
- Ability to effectively prioritize and deploy efforts to critical issues in a timely manner
- Must be able to interact effectively with all levels within the organization
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- A customer-focused mindset with a high sense of ownership and a passion for creating an exceptional first-day-to-first-year experience for new hires
