Service Technician – Manufacturing

Location: Fenton, MO Schedule: Full-time | Day shift (Overtime as needed) Pay: $28-$32 an hour, based on experience

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced service technician to support our start up and maintenance team. This role is primarily responsible for maintenance visits and system start-ups throughout North America. This position plays a key role in helping our customers continue to run their paint systems.

Responsibilities

• Out-of-town service trips. You will be expected to travel to customer locations to start up or perform maintenance or repairs on systems in the field. At this time, you can expect 50-75% travel.

• Service phone calls. We offer free phone service to our customers, and you will be expected to help customers with troubleshooting equipment over the phone with an electrical print. You will need to be patient and very thorough.

• Electrical production while in the shop. You will wire control panels to print and provide quality assurance checks and testing control panels before shipping. You will run all conduit on machines that can be run before shipping, along with wiring and testing of safety devices, disconnects, transformers, motors etc.

•  This department is also expected to run gas piping for all equipment. This includes threading and cutting pipes needed for all burners on various washers and ovens.  

Qualifications

• 2 Year technical degree or equivalent field experience.

• AC / DC electrical knowledge working with up to 480VAC to 24VDC

• Electrical Motors, mostly 208/230 – 240 and 480 VAC

• We use variety of PLCs to control our systems; basic ladder logic understanding is very helpful.

• Ability to work under little supervision as well as in a group setting.

• Strong attention to detail and accountability.

•  Ability to troubleshoot equipment with means of electrical or mechanical prints.

• Knowledge of gas fire burners. Eclipse, Maxon, Access, etc.
