Job Summary
As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our residents during your scheduled shifts in long-term care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Understanding and addressing the physical and psychological needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and obtaining vital signs.
- Providing psychosocial support and personal care to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
- Facilitating safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Creating a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks.
- Documenting resident interactions and communicating any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
- Participating in wellness and recreational programs to encourage resident engagement.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required, or must be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months.
- For Colorado facilities, Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification may be required.
- Completion of yearly competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits (minimum of 12 hours annually).
- Must be medically qualified to perform essential driving functions if applicable.
