Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide skilled nursing care to orthopedic and medical/surgical patients within a hospital setting. This contract position focuses on delivering comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop care plans tailored to patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify nursing interventions based on ongoing patient evaluations.
- Manage orthopedic traction setups and surgical traction devices to support patient mobility and wound care.
- Assess wound care needs; manage wound appliances including wound vacs, drains, and urological devices.
- Educate patients on wound care, mobility, medication management, self-care, and care transition requirements.
- Collaborate directly with physicians and surgeons for coordinated patient care.
- Delegate and supervise interventions performed by healthcare team staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards and incidents.
- Actively participate in professional development and departmental competency requirements.
- Complete required education related to specific programs such as DNV Hip and Knee Replacement if applicable.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license with Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Experience in orthopedic and medical/surgical nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage complex wound care and utilize various wound appliances.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
