This position is responsible for providing client care for clients within the TNT Wellness Center programs, providing client assessment and diagnosis, formulating treatment plan, and performing medication management, in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, rules, guidelines, and with TNT Wellness Center’s Mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The following duties are routine for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
- Provides client assessment, diagnosis and treatment plans in accordance with statutes,
- regulations and protocols regulating the profession.
- Collaborates with the clinical staff, as well as the technical personnel at all TNT Wellness Center programs.
- Coordinate with clinical staff in developing clients’ treatment plan.
- Participate in clinical staffing for clients’ treatment plan review.
- Provides psychiatric health services, or therapeutic health services, education, counseling and emotional support.
- Communicates with clients and engages in follow-up as necessary.
- Prepare medical/clinical record and documents in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocol regulating the profession.
- Maintain professional license.
- Other similar or related duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
A Mental Health Professional is defined by being a:
a. Clinical Nurse Specialist in child or adolescent, family, or adult psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national certification organization; or
b. Nurse Practitioner in adult or family psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national nurse certification organization.
c.A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker as defined in section 148E.050, subdivision 5.
d. A Psychologist licensed by the Board of Psychology under sections 148.88 to 148.98.
e. A Physician licensed under chapter 147 if the physician is:
- Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry; or
- Eligible for board certification in psychiatry
f. A Marriage and Family Therapist licensed under sections 148B.29 to 148B.392; or21
g. A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor licensed under section 148B.530
Education
Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass DHS background study.
- Must be free of problematic substance use for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
- Must know and understand the implication of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A (Human
- Services Licensing Act-HSLA), sections 626.556 (Maltreatment of Minors Act-MOMA),
- 626.557 (Vulnerable Act-VAA), and 626.5572 (VAA definitions).
- Must document receiving 8 hours of training in co-occurring disorder annually.
